Augmentation Mammoplasty (Bilateral)

Augmentation Mammoplasty (Bilateral)

Augmentation Mammoplasty, or breast enlargement, is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries in the UK with an extremely high success and safety rating. It is a surgical procedure where breast size is increased using implants specifically chosen to fit with a patient’s anatomical contours. It is also widely used following treatment for breast cancer, trauma and other conditions.

The new size and shape of your new breasts is decided during detailed consultations with our renowned consultants. They will use their expertise to help you choose saline or silicone implants that will reshape your breasts in a way that appears totally natural. Our consultants have a wealth of experience working with patients to create proportions that boost self-confidence.

The implants are placed under the breast tissue or chest muscles during a routine operation under general anesthetic that normally lasts between one and two hours.

The incisions are closed with stitches so there is minimal scarring and often they are hidden by skin lines or folds. The patient can normally return home after one or two days but will need a week off work and up to six weeks before normal activities can be resumed. The breasts will feel and look their intended shape after about two months. It is important to avoid any strenuous activity after the operation and to ensure that no stress is placed on the breasts by stooping or leaning over.
